So we’re chasing the chill away here in the UK after a couple of days of snowfall and sub-zero temperatures - not that it's stopped! Today’s 'OOTD' is all about layerering clothes while still focused on simplicity and warmth.
If you're anything like me and hate wrapping up to the extent that you end up looking like the little boy Randy from 'A Christmas Story' (If you've not watched this, I'd reccomend doing so - it's a Christmas classic), then keep reading. So as I was saying, yes it's of course important to wrap up in these colder winter months, but who's to say it can't look fashionable either?
The way I tackle this weather is, if I'm not wearing a cosy knitted jumper, I tend to just stick to a basic top e.g. a simple bodysuit like I did today, and pair it with some comfortable jeans that I know will keep me warm. I know I do love my ripped jeans, but in this weather, for me, they're a big no unless I want burning red knees, but who's to say you can't pair them with maybe some fishnet tights? That way there's atleast almost another layer underneath, yet still making a statement on your outfit.
With outfits like this, I almost always pair them with a matching cosy scarf. For today's look, I was feeling a faux fur look so I opted to wearing a knitted cardigan on top with a faux fur collar which also imitated a fur collar on the blazer jacket I finished the look with.
Not to forget--- I'm a massive fan of boots, so this look was incomplete of course without a pair of black boots. Again, focusing on warmth, I chose my knee high boots - this allowed me to wear some boot liners - which are basically just knee high socks which kept me really warm.

For accessories, again, I kept them simple but still enough to make a nice statement. For jewellery, I wore a black and gold pendant choker along with my normal every day dainty rings, and that's pretty much it. The last touch was a black handbag which balanced out the proportion of black with the rest of the outfit without looking too dark.
